Scale the Alps of Opportunity

Austria stands as a gateway to Europe, offering businesses a unique blend of innovation, craftsmanship, and strategic location. With a central position in Europe and a robust economy fueled by international trade, Austria is a hub for industries ranging from advanced manufacturing and biotech to pharmaceuticals, cybersecurity, and outdoor products.

Why Austria?

  • Austria is home to 600+ companies operating in the U.S., showcasing its commitment to global partnerships.

  • The U.S. is Austria’s 2nd largest trading partner, reflecting the strength of transatlantic trade.

  • Austrian expertise reaches new heights—90% of helicopters worldwide rely on Austrian-made parts.

  • Vienna, the nation’s capital, hosts 40+ international organizations and has been ranked the world’s most livable city for over 30 years.

  • Austria is one of the fastest-growing sources of direct investment into the U.S., with growth in double digits annually since COVID.

  • Austria’s central location in Europe and strong geopolitical ties make it a vital link between the European Union and the U.S.

Austria is building bridges to global markets and looking to strengthen ties with regions like Utah, where shared values create a strong foundation for growth. Both regions share a passion for outdoor recreation, a thriving tech ecosystem, and a dedication to quality and innovation. Together, these shared values pave the way for mutually beneficial partnerships and expansion opportunities.

This event is hosted in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity, the Salt Lake Chamber, and doTERRA
