Paving New Roads with Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 Your Global Gateway
Consul General Nazira Nurbayeva joined us at World Trade Center Utah for her first-ever visit to Utah, where she met with entrepreneurs, business leaders, and individuals eager to learn about Kazakhstan’s economy.
Kazakhstan, the largest country in Central Asia, is rapidly becoming a key destination for U.S. companies. Strategically located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, it plays a vital role in global trade routes, including the Belt and Road Initiative. This economic giant boasts abundant natural resources such as uranium (the world’s largest producer), copper, zinc, and rare earth metals—essential for the tech and green energy sectors.
The nation’s investment-friendly policies further enhance its appeal. Kazakhstan offers foreign investors enticing incentives like tax breaks, reduced customs duties, and streamlined processes for priority industries. The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) even provides a common-law legal framework with tax exemptions and simplified business registration, making it easier than ever for global companies to establish a presence and thrive.
We look forward to building on this momentum and unlocking new opportunities for Utah businesses in this exciting market.
This event is hosted in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and the Salt Lake Chamber.
