World Trade Center Utah to Honor Companies at Southern Utah International Business Forum

WTC Utah Vanguard in International Business Award will be given to two Utah-based companies

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (Feb. 24, 2015) – World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) will honor two Utah-based companies, InnoMark Inc. and Staheli West Inc., with the WTC Utah Vanguard in International Business Award at the Southern Utah International Business Forum held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 in St. George, Utah.

“World Trade Center Utah is proud to recognize these two Utah-based companies who are succeeding in international business and strengthening Utah’s Economy,” said WTC Utah President and CEO Derek Miller.

Miller will be joined on stage by Mayor Jon Pike of St. George, Mayor Maile Wilson of Cedar City and Utah Department of Workforce Service Executive Director, Jon Pierpont to present the awards.

St. George Based InnoMark Inc. was established in the late 1990’s and is a top supplier and bottler of select organic, kosher certified natural fruit juices, oils, powders and extracts. InnoMark is dedicated to providing customers with safe and beneficial natural products. All of InnoMark’s products, which are exported to more than 16 foreign countries, are made in the company’s Utah facility. InnoMark supports business growth within the state by working with several suppliers in Utah. About 25 percent of the company’s total revenue comes from international sales.

Cedar City based Staheli West Inc. has successfully sold its DewPoint 6110, a machine that generates steam and injects it into hay as it is being baled, abroad since 2013. Staheli West Inc. was founded in 1995 when Dave Staheli, a local farmer, was determined to find a better way to bale his hay. This machine has been on the commercial market since 2009 and was first introduced into the international market in October 2013. The number of units sold has more than doubled each year since 2009, and new markets are constantly opening up.

The Vanguard in International Business Award will be presented during WTC Utah’s Southern Utah International Business Forum, where local companies and community leaders will learn about the impact international expansion of businesses has on the local economy. Attendees will also learn about tools and resources available to assist them as they expand throughout the world. With decreased regulations and increased connectivity, small and medium sized companies throughout Utah are well positioned to enter or increase their share of the global market. In an ever-globalized world, all businesses have the potential to export.
