Thank you to those who joined us on Thursday, February 16, at 12 p.m., to welcome Baktybek A. Amanbaev, the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States. At this roundtable, we explored how Utah companies can support Kyrgyzstan’s rich mining economy; as well as current opportunities for banking, IT, and clean energy technologies in the region.

Ambassador Baktybek A. Amanbaev
During his career, Ambassador Amanbaev has served as a senior consultant member of the Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh) of the Kyrgyz Republic, a broadcasting director, vice mayor of Osh, head of the press service of the parliament and chief of staff for the minister of the Kyrgz republic.
Amanbaev holds a political science graduate degree from Kyrgyz National University, a Master of Business Administration from the Bishkek International School of Business and Management (1998), and undergraduate degree from the Kyrgyz National University (1996).
