WTC Utah Presents Awards to Jive Communications and Dr. Erlend Peterson at Utah County Forum
PROVO, UT – World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) presented Jive Communications with the Vanguard in International Business Award at the Utah County International Business Forum on May 15 at Nu Skin headquarters. WTC Utah also recognized Dr. Erlend Peterson with the Champion for International Business Award.
Jive provides cloud-based phone systems and Unified Communications services. Its customers include high-growth businesses and public sector institutions needing a scalable platform that is more flexible and cost-effective than their existing legacy systems. Jive’s cloud delivery model ensures that each organization always has the latest technology, features, and applications. It is the largest privately owned hosted VoIP provider and the only large “Unified Communications as a Service” company expanding its operations to South America.
“We are pleased to recognize Jive Communications with a Vanguard in International Business Award,” said Derek B. Miller, president and CEO of WTC Utah. “Jive has achieved significant international growth since it was founded in 2006. Its success illustrates that there are tremendous opportunities available globally for tech companies and service providers.”
Jive Communications has clients in many countries around the world, including Brazil, Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.
In addition to presenting Jive Communications with an award, WTC Utah also recognized Dr. Erlend Peterson for the contributions he’s made to growing Utah’s international presence through outreach and hosting.
Dr. Peterson hosted more than 260 ambassadors from 104 countries during his career at Brigham Young University (BYU). He was instrumental in establishing the BYU Ambassadorial Lecture Series, which brings five to 10 ambassadors to Utah each year.
“I’ve had the pleasure to meet with many diplomats invited to visit Utah by Dr. Peterson on behalf of BYU. These leaders are impressed by Utah’s business environment and are continually looking for ways to strengthen trade ties with the state,” said Miller. “Dr. Peterson has played an instrumental role in elevating the international visibility of Utah, and it is an honor to present him with a Champion for International Business award.”
The Utah County International Business Forum was presented by World Trade Center Utah and Nu Skin.
