WTC Utah Presents Awards to Butcher’s Bunches and DWS at Cache Business Summit
LOGAN, UT – World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) presented Butcher’s Bunches with the Vanguard in International Business Award at the Cache Business Summit on April 20 at the Riverwoods Conference Center. WTC Utah also recognized the Bear River Service Area of the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) with the Champion for International Business Award.
The jam for Butcher’s Bunches was originally created by founder Liz Butcher in response to a family health need. Butcher’s Bunches’ preserves are 100 percent natural without added sugars, artificial preservatives or chemicals. After Butcher began selling her jams at local farmers markets, she quickly discovered there was a significant demand for her product. She has since expanded into retail locations across the state and some locations throughout the world.
“We are pleased to recognize Butcher’s Bunches with a Vanguard in International Business Award,” said Derek B. Miller, president and CEO of WTC Utah. “Butcher’s Bunches is an example to all businesses in Cache Valley, both large and small, that every company can reap the benefits of international trade.”
Butcher’s Bunches sells its popular jams in Asia, Canada, Great Britain, France, Australia and Dubai. Approximately 11 percent of the company’s sales come from international markets. Butcher’s Bunches was recognized in the United Kingdom as the “Queen’s Tea” jam. It has also captured the attention of Chip and Joanna Gaines, stars of the hit TV show Fixer Upper.
In addition to presenting Butcher’s Bunches with an award, WTC Utah also highlighted the work being done by the Bear River Service Area of the Department of Workforce Services.
“It is an honor to recognize the Department of Workforce Services – Bear River Service Area with a Champion for International Business award. Eden Johnson and Vicki Fenton, under the leadership of Debbie Sparks, are committed to helping businesses expand globally. This international focus has helped grow the Cache County economy,” said Miller.
The Cache Business Summit was presented by World Trade Center Utah and Cook Martin Poulson, P.C.
