One of the best kept secrets in business? Nearly 96% of global consumers live outside of the U.S.

Today, the global marketplace presents more growth opportunities than ever before. But if you're reading this, chances are you’re already well aware and enjoying the rewards of your efforts.

As you continue to grow your global footprint, you’re likely to encounter complex local taxes and regulations.

Sound overwhelming? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

On September 18, we’re bringing in Jonathan Bench (partner at Harris Bricken) and Mike Criddle (partner at Eide Bailly) to lay out a roadmap for building robust sales while ensuring security and compliance.

Whether you’re growing software sales in Canada or shipping sandals to Europe, don’t let the legal and tax implications of global growth slow you down.

Get hands-on support for your unique questions! We look forward to seeing you at this in-person luncheon event.

Kindly reserve your seat by Wednesday, September 11. Please email Rayanne Riepl with any questions.

Speakers

Jonathan bench

Partner, Harris Bricken

Jonathan Bench is chair of Harris Bricken’s corporate practice group and managing attorney of the firm’s Salt Lake City office, where he helps entrepreneurs, companies, and venture capital and private equity funds with international and domestic business transactions. National and global trade organizations regularly invite Jonathan to speak regarding international business transactions, particularly foreign direct investment to and from the U.S. and China, as well as alternatives to the China market.

Jonathan is an emerging legal expert in the fast-moving and complex web3 ecosystem, including business and regulatory issues surrounding decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), smart contracts, decentralized finance (defi), cryptocurrencies, coins, and tokens, including non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

From selling homegrown raspberries to window washing services to non-emergency medical transportation services, Jonathan understands the entrepreneurial grind from the inside. His clients value his ability to think like a business owner, providing pragmatic legal strategy that underpins, not undermines, the venture’s larger strategic goals.

Michael Criddle, CPA

Partner, Eide Bailly

As a leader in Eide Bailly's International Tax Services Group, Mike provides expertise on issues surrounding international taxation. He has experience advising both U.S. companies that are looking to expand abroad, as well as non-US companies looking to expand into the US.  Additionally, Michael has experience with foreign investment, as well as employment issues businesses often face when sending employees abroad.

When you work with Mike, you get a partner with the expertise needed to keep you and your business compliant with all U.S. and international tax laws and compliance regulations. With skill and efficiency, he will help you navigate the many challenges of dealing with multiple jurisdictional tax regimes.

Outside of work, it's hard to pin Mike down. He's got a large family, including three adopted children from Ukraine and Ethiopia, so much of his free time is spent as a doting, devoted family man. He enjoys snowboarding, cooking and a variety of other sports ... all at a skill level ranging from amateurish to hilarious, depending on which family member you ask.
