High-altitude collaboration
Did you know Mongolia is one of the world’s highest countries, averaging 5,180 feet across its entire land-locked expanse?
While one-third of the country’s labor force employed in agricultural work, climate and weather-related volatility in the region has made farming increasingly difficult. As a result, the Government of Mongolia has proposed a variety of climate and agricultural priorities, including investments in innovative forage cultivation and drought management systems.
Mongolia also boasts large deposits of coal, copper, gold, silver, and Uranium, offering unique opportunities for mining partnerships and investments.
On Tuesday, January 23 at 12 p.m. Utah agritech and mining companies joined us for lunch with Mongolian Ambassador Batbayar Ulziidelger and Nyambaatar Khishgee, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar
This event was hosted in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and the Salt Lake Chamber.
