Grow your business on the Emerald Isle.
Did you know that hundreds of U.S. companies and over a dozen Utah brands have built co-headquarters and satellite office operations in Ireland?
With low taxes, no language barriers, a highly skilled workforce, economic and political stability, and easy access to European markets and consumers, Ireland provides an optimal landing ground for Utah businesses looking to set up shop overseas.
A few highlights of the state’s business presence in Ireland:
Utah has a bevy of business heavy-hitters with Irish operations including Qualtrics, Ancestry, Merit Medical Systems, Inc., Overstock, and others.
Qualtrics launched its Dublin office in 2013 with six employees and recently reported it is on track to employ over 600 there by 2024.
Overstock CEO Jonathan Johnson said his company launched its first office in Ireland in 2013 and made a $1 million investment in an expanded facility in 2019 that helped accommodate a growing staff.
On Thursday, May 11, at 12:45 p.m. we were joined for a luncheon with Consul General of Ireland Marcella Smyth. We talked all things Ireland and learned how Utah business can partner with the country to achieve international success.
