Derek B. Miller Statement on Trump, Xi 100-day Plan to Improve Trade Ties
SALT LAKE CITY – World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) President and CEO Derek B. Miller released the following statement about the outcome of President Trump’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping:
“I applaud the efforts by the Trump administration to bring down trade barriers in China. Better market access will allow Utah companies to increase their customers in this important region,” said Derek B. Miller, president and CEO of World Trade Center Utah. “China is the world’s second largest economy and one of the state’s top trading partners. Utah businesses, particularly those in the food and agriculture industry, will benefit as the U.S. ensures free trade with China is also fair trade.”
