In our third podcast, WTC Utah President and CEO Derek Miller discusses local air quality and the possibility of a future Olympic bid for Salt Lake City.
We begin our program with Thom Carter, Executive Director of the Utah Clean Air Partnership. Carter discusses the importance of identifying air quality issues while mitigating the effects of inversion and our rapidly growing population.
We then speak with President and CEO of the Utah Sports Commision, Jeff Robbins, about the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and how it positions us for a 2026 or 2030 Olympic bid. Infrastructure, public support, and new legislature all play a part in the application process.
