WTC Utah January 2018 Podcast: Tax Reform and Volunteerism
In this month’s podcast, Derek Miller talks changes to taxes for international businesses and more.
Welcome to our January edition of the World Trade Center Utah podcast. This month, WTC Utah President and CEO Derek Miller discusses the new tax legislation’s impact on Utah companies doing international business and the role of volunteerism in Utah’s economic prosperity.
Our first guest this month is LaDawn Stoddard, director of UServeUtah, the Lt. Governor’s Commission on Service & Volunteerism. During her interview, LaDawn shares why Utah is consistently recognized as the top state for volunteerism and how it contributes to our economic growth.
Later in the podcast we are joined by two tax experts: Clifton Allen Larsen’s James Guthrie and Deloitte’s Banks Edwards. In these segments, James and Banks share with listeners what they need to know about the largest piece of tax reform legislation in more than three decades and how those reforms will impact international business here in Utah.
