Student International Market Selection Analysis Program
Provided by the World Trade Center Utah and BYU Global Management Center. Receive international market research from some of the brightest business and engineering students in Utah.
Discover International Demand for Your Product
Each participating company will receive an International Market Selection Analysis Report, which provides market recommendations tailored to your product and risk preferences. Additionally, you will receive an in-depth industry/country report of the top markets for your product.
The Students
The students participating are undergraduates enrolled in BYU’s Introduction to International Business course. They will perform the research under the supervision of WTC Utah’s trade services experts and BYU business professors.
Your Role
While this research is provided free of charge by World Trade Center Utah and BYU Global Management Center, participating companies are required to meet the following expectations:
- Dedicate a single contact person. This individual must be a key decision maker in the company’s international development.
- This contact person must commit to participate in two scheduled engagements and be available to timely answer any appropriate questions about the company, product, or strategy that may come up during the course of the project.
- The first engagement is an information gathering session that will take place over the phone or in person.
- The second engagement will be a report presentation given at the BYU Marriott School of Business. Only companies with major geographic barriers or emergencies can participate remotely over the internet.
Project Dates
The project will be held in the Fall of 2018. The opening phone call with students and final presentations will be held roughly one month apart from each other and the final analysis reports will be delivered by November.
