The USPTO’s China Intellectual Property (IP) Road Show comes to Salt Lake City, bringing together policy makers and thought leaders on China IP issues from the U.S. government, academia, and practitioners—including local businesses, experts, and resources—to share insights that will benefit U.S. IP rights holders. The program is one of a series of China IP Road Shows that the USPTO is conducting across the United States.

This free event will explore recent developments and challenges for Utah businesses in regards to intellectual property in China. World Trade Center Utah President and CEO Derek B. Miller will make remarks alongside experts from U.S. Commerical Services, the United States Patent and Trademark Office and legal experts from Utah.

This is event is geart toward companies and indviduals who want to learn more about protecting their intellectual property rights in China. The Road Shows bring together policymakers and leading experts in intellectual property (IP), as well as rights holders, particularly American small- and medium-sized and micro enterprises. The China IP Road Shows have concentrated on a variety of topics, including portfolio management, the relationship between utility-model patents, design patents and invention patents, and tips to navigate through the Chinese legal system.

The meeting is open to members of the public to attend on a first-come, first-served basis.
