Q: Who qualifies for this grant?

A: Small to medium sized businesses, according to SBA Size Standards. Businesses must have headquarters based in Utah, been in business for over one year and have a market ready product or service with at least 51% U.S. Content.

 

Q: What size grants will be awarded?

A: Most awards will range from $5,000 to $10,000. Companies that receive grant awards will also be eligible to enter a pitch fest later in the year to compete for additional funds.

 

Q: How many grants are available?

A: Approximately 10-20 awards can be granted given funds available.

 

Q: Do grants require matching from the company?

A: No.

 

Q: What can grants be used for?

A: Grants can be used for international business education programs, services such as legal assistance, website translation, research and logistics consultation, costs associated with travel to trade missions/shows, market intelligence/research trips and other related costs in promoting your company’s export growth.

Q: What is the deadline for applications?

A: There is no deadline for applications.  Applications will be accepted in an ongoing basis.  Awards will be granted based on the strength of your application and availability of funds.
