Trade missions are proven, cost-effective tools for Utah companies to learn first-hand about target export markets. Trade mission participants will be responsible for the cost of their own flights, lodging, and most meals and other incidental expenses.

A trade mission fee will be assessed for each individual who attends the trade mission. This fee, which is a flat rate, covers the cost of some group meals, some group ground transportation, room reservations for briefings, trade mission participant journals, trade mission marketing collateral and networking receptions hosted by the State of Utah.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is due no later than Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in order to secure a spot on the trade mission. The remaining participation fee cost will be due July 27, 2017.

Past participation fees for trade missions typically range from $500-$800. This total fee will be based a flat rate for Singapore, a flat rate for Vietnam and a combined rate for participants who visit both countries, as well as a separate fee for those who choose to participate in optional activities/site visits.

Please note that the actual participant fee amount will depend on the total number of participants on the trade mission and the final costs of the various activities/services provided.

World Trade Center Utah makes every effort to limit this cost as much as possible for participants. STEP grant funding may be applied to the trade mission participation fee for qualifying companies. For more information regarding STEP, please click here.

Flights and Accommodations

Flights and hotels are not included in the participation fee, however, upon registration, information regarding recommended flights and group rates and recommended hotels will be emailed to each participant. The average cost per night is $200 while international flights average between $1,700 to $2,200.
